Two men pose with a donkey, available for riding in an unidentified park, possibly Clapham Common. This photograph was taken by John Thomson, a pioneering Scottish photographer of early social and documentary style photography. It first appeared in 'Street Life of London', a magazine he published in collaboration with journalist Adolphe Smith.
