Interior view of Somerset House showing a lecture on sculpture presented by Sir Richard Westmacott at the Royal Academy of Arts, 1830, with the audience sitting in rows facing the stage upon which stands the lecturer surrounded by a line of sculpture, paintings hang around the top of the room. Somerset House was home to the Royal Academy from 1771-1836.
