Description
Five Lyons waitresses and a man holding rescued cats beside a van from the ‘Dumb Friends League’ animal shelter. This charity was renamed in 1950 to ‘The Blue Cross’, as the previously offensive name assumes Deaf people cannot communicate. They are outside the British Empire Exhibition venue at Wembley. Lyons held the exhibition catering contract.
