Description
This map portrays the proposed design for the rebuilding of London after the Great Fire in 1666 as proposed by Sir Christopher Wren. Insets in the upper corners are occupied by a complaint against the non-adoption of Wren's plan. The map was by John Gwynn and Edward Rooker, it was published at Palladios Head in Long Acre. The map is dedicated to the Lord Mayor, Court of Aldermen and the Court of Common Council of the City of London. Lower section contains text surmounted by an allegorical group
