Description
A view of Ludgate Hill through the Ludgate Viaduct, City of London. Photo taken from the middle of Ludgate Circus, looking east towards St Paul's Cathedral. The viaduct was constructed in 1865 by the London, Chatham & Dover Railway. It was demolished in 1990. On the left is the King Lud pub, built in 1870 and closed in 2005. In front of it is a Police Public Callbox. On the right is a burger restaurant. The spire of St Martin's can be seen above the viaduct. A number of pedestrians are in view.
