View of the Livery Hall in Drapers' Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, City of London. A number of the Company's royal portraits can be seen hanging on the walls between marble columns. From left to right these are George II (by Sir Godfrey Knellor), George II (Sir Nathaniel Dance), George IV (Sir Thomas Lawrence), William IV (copy of Sir David Wilkie), Victoria (copy of Von Angeli), Edward VII (Harold Speed). Approximately half of the ceiling is visible with its ceiling panels completed by Herbert Draper between 1903 and 1910. These depict scenes from Shakespeare. A high, narrow open gallery with a stone balustrade and mirrored recesses running around the hall can also be seen. The whole of the DrapersĀ“ Hall complex was Grade II listed in 1972; listing number 1358902.
