Description
This photograph shows two-storey nineteenth-century cottages in a state of dereliction but still inhabited. Taken from the rear of the properties, they show a view over back yards, including outhouses, bathtubs, washing lines and fences. It is difficult to ascertain from exactly where the photograph is taken, but the church in the distance is probably the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Trott Street, in which case this could be a rear view of Bournes Place, off Battersea High Street.
