Description
View from an upper window, looking east across a cobbled courtyard of a small factory or workshop off Thessaly Road, Nine Elms. The yard has vehicular access from Thessaly Road via the door seen behind the lorry and a possible pedestrian entrance in Corunna Road through the buildings. A lorry from Metropolitan Canister Company, tin box makers based in London Road, Stone, Greenhithe Kent is parked in the yard with a man at the rear and sack barrow. Behind the lorry is a set of iron steps leading up to an open door on the first floor. The buildings no longer exist and the location is now residential blocks on the Patmore Estate.
