Tower of Sir William Powell Almshouses, Church Gate, Fulham, featuring a tall mansard roof and two layers of arcading; the uppper with carved heads of Faith, Hope and Charity, and the lower with statues of saintly women. The tower was built to hold the general water cistern for the whole of the buildings, and a small library room on the first floor. Founded in 1680 and rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1869 by architect John Pollard Seddon, the buildings are Grade II* listed. The almshouses still exist; managed by the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation, they provide 12 one bedroom flats for older women.
