Front elevation of Sir William Powell Almshouses, Church Gate, Fulham. Founded in 1680 and rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1869 by architect John Pollard Seddon, the buildings are Grade II* listed. The almshouses still exist; managed by the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation, they provide 12 one bedroom flats for older women. The twelve residences are arranged in pairs, each of which has one entrance doorway situated under a recessed porch.
