Description
Ground-floor front-room chimneypiece at Temple House, 7 Church Gate, Fulham. The elaborate chimneypiece features a tiled surround, marble frieze and pilasters, decorative overmantle with the coat of arms with external devices. Five busts sit on the mantlepiece, and a decorative fender with figures of two cherubs holding on either side sits in front. Elegant antique chest of drawers, framed portrait, a carpet and panelled walls are partly visible. Temple House and its grounds no longer exist; Steeple Close, a 1960s residential development designed by J.J. de Segrais is now on the site.
