Description
A Regency style late eighteenth-century to early nineteenth-century doorway at 21 Forest Road, Dalston, Hackney. The doorway set into a brick wall contains classical features including columns with Egyptian style capitals surmounted by a flat pediment over a carved cornice containing medallions and triglyphs. A modern c1950s panelled door with a knocker, door knob and letter box sit within the door frame. The building no longer survives and a twenty-first century apartment block known as Zest House now occupies part of the site.
