A view of the fronts of houses at 62-70 Forest Road, Hackney, near the turning into Queensbridge Road. On the right of the photograph can be seen the fronts of 326-334 Queensbridge Road. The house at 62 Forest Road on the corner has a central arched entrance porch and arched sash windows on the ground floor and further sash windows on the first floor, and it likely dates from c1840s. The neighbouring houses including those on the far right of the image in Queensbridge Road likely date from the c1820s-1830s and exhibit some Regency/late Georgian features including including semi-circular fan lights above the front doors. Other features include tiled roofs, chimney stacks and chimney pots, a TV aerial above number 62, wooden gates, a high brick wall outside number 64 (which possibly led to a metal works which was behind the houses) and a tall street lamp which can be seen in Queensbridge Road. In front of number 62 can be seen a metal road sign with a cut down tree near it. Three women can also be seen walking down Queensbridge Road. The houses still survive.
