Description
34 Queen Caroline Street (formerly Queen Street), Hammersmith, front elevation. First floor has a polygonal bay window. On side of building are large billboards with advertisements for Bird’s Cake Mix, Walls Ice Cream with the slogan ‘Have a Wall, Good & Big’, as well as a London County Council 31 March 1955 election poster for the Conservative candidates Carr, Dugdale, Messerv. Telephone box beneath. Man in raincoat walking with dog. While the road still exists, the buildings were demolished for Hammersmith flyover in 1959. Street renaming took place in 1944.
