A view of the eighteenth-century Georgian front door to 21 Queen Square, Holborn. The panelled door sits within a frame surmounted by a semi-circular fanlight containing the Georgian sunrise pattern. Holding up the window are two rectangular piers. Two windows are within the door, and iron railings sit either side of the entrance, which is covered in flag stones. The wall is covered in plaster. A circular plaque sits on the wall above the door which reads 'Frederick Denison Maurice 1805-1872 Theologian Lived here'. The house no longer exists; The President Hotel, Guildford Street, an eight-storey mid twentieth-century building, sits on part of the site.
