View of a three-storey terrace at 37-61 Hillyard Street, Stockwell.

Numbers 49-61 have first-floor casement windows which open on to ornate cast iron balconies. On the far left three post-war prefabs can be seen. Three children are playing in front of number 57. A bicycle leans against the fence of number 59 and a dog stands by the gate of number 61. On the right are posters advertising Mansion Polish, Brooke Bond Tea, Lyons Tea, and Robertson's Golden Shred, Silver Shred and Golliberry.

Originally named Russell Street, after Lord John Russell who was twice prime minister, it was renamed in honour of Anne Hillyard, the widow of a clergyman who financed the building of Stockwell Orphanage in 1867. The terrace was demolished and on the site is Ashley-Cooper House, a care home.
