View of a three-storey terrace at 37-55 Hillyard Street, Stockwell.

Numbers 49-55 have first-floor casement windows which open on to ornate cast iron balconies.

Originally named Russell Street, after Lord John Russell who was twice prime minister, it was renamed in honour of Anne Hillyard, the widow of a clergyman who financed the building of Stockwell Orphanage in 1867. The terrace was demolished and on the site is Ashley-Cooper House, a care home.
