Demolition at 205-211 Devons Road, Bromley-by-Bow, from the rear. The former Tryphena Mission at numbers 205-207 is virtually gone while work is still in progress on the neighbouring buildings at numbers 209-211. Splintered timbers, corrugated metal sheeting, broken drain pipes, twisted metal, and piles of bricks, plaster and rubble are visible. On the right, a worker stands beside the arm of a demolition crane. Behind him is a van belonging to demolition contractors Syd Bishop & Sons of Orpington. On the horizon on the right are modern flats along Devons Road. Behind them is the 19-storey Sleaford House tower block on the Lincoln Estate. The demolition site is now part of Furze Green public park.
