World War II bomb damage at 12-26 Cordelia Street, Poplar. The blast has blown out windows and broken window panes. Debris can be seen behind the damaged double doors of what appears to have been a shop in the centre of the photograph. The base of a telegraph pole has been painted white as a hazard warning to pedestrians during the black-out. A property at the far end of the street is braced up by a timber beam, which has also been painted white at the base. The terrace no longer exists and the site is now occupied by Lansbury Lawrence Primary School.
