Doorway in Fitzroy Square
Description
A view of the doorway of 26 Fitzroy Square, Fitzrovia. The door sits in a stucco covered ground floor with signs for "Footwear House" and the door number either side of the doorcase. The door has six panels with layered mouldings, and a doorknob and letterbox have been fitted. The approach to the door is lined with tall spiked railings and there is a boot scraper set into the stone just before the door. Dating from about 1832-35, numbers 20-32 Fitzroy Square and their railings were Grade II* listed in 1954; listing number 1112996.
