Description
A front elevation of a terraced row of derelict houses in Middle Shadwell, Shadwell. There are a few figures sitting outside two of the houses, the rest are derelict. The photograph has been taken looking south from the top of Pope’s Hill at its junction with Shadwell High Street. The path running down past the houses, in the foreground is Pope’s Hill. The area was demolished to build King George VII Memorial Park which opened on 24 June 1922.
