Description
Staircase of 50 Albemarle Street, Piccadilly, with open string with carved brackets to tread ends, twisted balusters and mahogany handrail swept to columnar newels. The walls are wood panelled with portraits hanging and on the landing there is a door and a metal bucket. The house was the original residence of John Murray, the founder of the publishers of that name and has many literary associations. It is Grade II listed, listing number 1209871.
