Description
A view of the front and side elevations of the Trocadero building in Coventry Street, Westminster, with a Lyons Corner House cafe on the ground floor at the corner of Rupert Street. The building has four tall storeys along both elevations rising to a cupola at the apex. A letter box stands on the pavement near the corner. A few pedestrians and parked cars can be seen. Dating from 1907, the Trocadero at 7-14 Coventry Street was Grade II listed in 1986; listing number 1066950. The building, originally along Coventry Street and Rupert Street at equal length, was extended on a larger scale along Coventry Street in 1921-3 with four tall storeys nine windows wide.
