Description
Stained glass coat of arms of Thomas Osborne, first Duke of Leeds KG (1632 – 1712) surmounted by a ducal coronet and encircled by the Garter, indicating he is a Knight of the Garter. Heraldic quarterings: 1 Osborne, 2 Broughton (incorrectly coloured as the black should be red), 3 Goring or Chauncey (incorrect) 4 Hewett (Sir Edward Osborne Hewett Lord, Lord Mayor of London), 5 Hewett, 6 Walmsley, 7 Danvers, 8 Neville (incorrectly coloured as the black should be red with a black annulet). Various errors by artist in accurately depicting the window.
