Description
Advertising bill for Wonderland, 100 Whitechapel Road. The seven-foot beard and three-foot moustache are among many 'attractions' on display. Opened in 1896, Wonderland was originally a music hall but also became a well-known boxing hall. It burned down in 1911 and was later rebuilt as a cinema, the Rivoli.
