Description
Front elevations of 76-80 Albert Embankment, Lambeth, looking south. Buildings are large commercial properties. Number 77 is the premises of Thompson Ltd, established 1874. Services advertised include money lending, valuations and furnishing. A police officer stands by the doorway. To the left, The Horse Shoe Coffee and Dining Rooms are in full view. Far left, a public house, name not in view, features advertisements for porters and ales. The preceding street and roadway are in view with pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages. Area is considerably altered today, buildings pictured are no longer extant.
