St James's Street
"St James Street in an uproar, or the quack artist and his assailants"; fashionable carriages stop outside a door in St James's Street marked "Chalk Drawing", through which a crowd of small figures enters. B.R. Haydon watches from across the road, accompanied by a pupil, while a goose labelled W.C. hoots at him. W. Carey objected to Haydon's advertising methods for his drawing.
