Cuper's Gardens, Lambeth
View north from Cuper's Pleasure Gardens, Lambeth towards Somerset House; shows Watt's Shot Tower, Lambeth on the right, used for lead manufacture between 1789 and 1937. Cuper's pleasure Gardens, on the site later occupied by the southern approaches to Waterloo Bridge, were evidently being used as a base for building John Rennie's Waterloo Bridge, constructed 1811-1817.
