View of the south-east and north-east of a square in Byng Place, showing the Church of Christ the King and Courtauld House. On the left is the four-storey Courtauld House, with a channelled stucco ground floor, balustrade running along the on the east side first floor and a pedimented projecting centre bay. This building was constructed in 1832 by Thomas Cubitt and is Grade II listed, listing number 1272403. On the right is a line of parked cars and the Church of Christ the King, a two-storey building with gabled buttresses, turrets and a large church window on a projection. This church was constructed in the early English Neo-Gothic style as part of the Catholic Apostle or Irvingian Movement between 1851 and 1854 by J.R. Brandon. From 1963 to 1994, the church belonged to the University College Anglican Chaplaincy before the Church of England began using it from 2015. This Grade I listed building, listing number 1113038, has been renamed Euston Church.
