Description
Paved courtyard with balcony above, statues, fountain and a balcony above at Wimbourne House (also known as Wimborne House), 22 Arlington Street, St James' Westminster, looking south-west. The house was designed in the Neo-Palladian style by William Kent and built between 1743 and 1754. It is Grade II* listed, listing number 1066498. In 1947 Wimbourne House was purchased the Eagle Star Insurance Group, who used it for their headquarters until 2005, when the house was sold to the adjoining Ritz Hotel. Today called the William Kent House, it is used as a venue for meetings, weddings, and corporate events as part of The Ritz complex.
