Title
Buildings in Wych Street
Description
Front elevations of terraced buildings at 30-33 Wych Street, Westminster, looking west. Macey & Sons Builders & Co. occupy number 33, whose facade is partly covered in ivy; a man in collar and tie stands inside the doorway. At number 32 is P. Rossi selling mineral waters and tea. Shakespeare Head public house, a Worthington establishment, is at number 31. The photograph is likely to be taken from a room in the Rising Sun public house at 37 Wych Street. These buildings, as well as Wych Street itself, no longer exist and have been replaced by Aldwych.
