Description
"Covent Garden Market and St Paul's Church"; view of the market with people selling turnips, cauliflower, asparagus, apples and pears from baskets. Figures stroll and dogs play in the square. Beyond is St Paul, Covent Garden and beside it, a sun dial set on a column and surmounted by a golden ball. The Piazza and the church were originally built in 1631-1635 by Inigo Jones.
