'The idle 'prentice at play in the church yard', plate III of "Industry and Idleness"; the idle apprentice is gaming with three disreputable companions on a tomb in a churchyard. In front is an open grave with bones and skulls. The parish beadle stands behind him, stick raised to strike. In the background worshippers are seen entering the church.
