View of St Margaret's House, 17-21 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green. St Margaret's was the home of the Bethnal Green Ladies Committee formally opened in 1889. Pioneering work included a Children's Country Holiday Fund, the Metropolitan Association for Befriending Young Servants, visits to hospitals and workhouses, organising sick and relief funds, work for mothers and children and running clubs for girls .Neighbouring property to the left (not in photo) is York Hall, one of the most iconic venues in British boxing.
