Numbers 683-691 Commercial Road, Stepney, five remaining houses of an early nineteenth-century terrace. These three-storey houses with basements are stock brick built with stucco eaves, cornice and a blocking course. They have sash windows, six-panelled doors with round-headed surrounds and fanlights, and fluted quarter columns. The ground-floor windows of numbers 683-689 have had a column of bricks built for support. The terrace was Grade II listed in 1973 (listing number 1357810) and has since been renovated. The bus stop outside has been removed. The Cash & Carry visible to the left has been replaced by Tequila Wharf.
